Welcome to Henry County Parks! The Park District manages a hiking/biking trail which runs along the old Miami & Erie Canal Towpath and the Maumee River. The Trail was cleared by volunteers from the Buckeye Trail Association, and is part of the US National Park Service's "North Country Trail". The Trail covers the entire county from East to West- around 22 miles. It is mostly native terrain through woodlands, but briefly becomes road through some of the City of Napoleon. There are many access points to both the Trail and the Maumee River. So browse through the web-site, and by all means come and enjoy hiking the trail. We are eager to hear about your trail experience!
